Biking Trails

Glen Park:  Collins Street, off Broad Street in south Stroudsburg.  Follows the Brodhead Creed in Stroudsburg,  many trails connect to Delaware Water Gap.  570-421-5444.

Big Pocono:  Vista Trail, located in Big Pocono State Park on Camelback Road, off Interstate 8-.  A dual track, five roads, a six to seven mile roundtrip trail.  570-894-8336.  

Pohopoco Recreation Area: Delaware State Forest, one-and-a half miles south of Pocono Speedway on Route 115.  A technical, single track, easy trail.  Incorporates a half a mile climb to the highest point in Monroe county, followed by a mile long descent through a red pine forest.  570-895-4000.

Tobyhanna State Park: runs through Monroe and Wayne counties, is accessible from Interstate 84, exit 507, or two-and-a-half miles north of where route 423 and Interstate 84 intersect.  Lakeside Trail, for hiking and biking, runs 5.1 miles, compacted ground biking easier. 570-894-8336.

Jim Thorpe, Lehigh Gorge:   Pocono Whitewater Rafting offers numerous bike trails along with shuttle service and bike rentals, if not needed, they are open to answer any questions you may have before your journey  (see the following), 570-325-2570. 
  Midway Lehigh River Gorge, all downhill, 15-mile trail.
  Switchback Railway, runs along the second oldest railroad in
  America. 
  Broad Mountain, a 20-mile single tr5ack, at intermediate
  difficulty level.
  Buzzards Point, an intermediate track, 12 miles of woodlands
  out and back trail.
  Twin Peaks, advanced, 20 miles following along the Mauch
  Chunk Ridge, single track with power line descents.
  Psycho Betty's Revenge, intermediate level, 12 miles, out-and-
  back ride with a single-track terrain.
  Lehigh Canal, mostly level, for beginners, families and youth
  groups, an out-and-back towpath trail.

McDade Trail:  in the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, runs 37 miles currently, but will upgrade 2.5 miles by fall.  It is predominately flat, conducive to hiking and biking.  570-426-2435.
